Ace Surfaces Projects

Sea World:"Shamu's Seal of Approval"

SeaWorld Orlando found Rebound Impact in their search as a high performance floor on their stage in front of Bayside Stadium show. The dancers picked the most suitable finish after intense testing and discussions. The old concrete surface was cleaned and then a 14+3 mm Rebound Impact system installed, to ease the stress on the dancers during their twice a day performance. The stage was finished with a 1/8" wear layer and the finish color was chosen to be as close to sand as possible as to blend with the beach sand surrounding the stage.

SeaWorld's project team is delighted with their choice and so are the performers. Daily routines are even more fun on the soft, smooth finish and the project management has minimal maintenance demands between the shows. Rebound Impact is available in many different colors and the thickness of the shock pad can be adjusted to use and budget. The surface is ideal for field-houses, gymnasiums and Indoor multi-purpose facilities.

Long Island University: "Up on the Roof"

Long Island University selected for their Athletic Building a running track/tennis court installation on their rooftop and found the Rebound Ace system being the perfect match. The University wanted a court surface that their students could enjoy without sacrificing their bodies. Abacus Sports Installation was responsible for the running track while Ace Surfaces took care of the tennis courts. Two Rebound Ace GS tennis courts are surrounded by the running track on the rooftop of the Brooklyn campus.

Cole Residence: "The City Beautiful"

Mr. and Mrs. Cole wanted a combination tennis court with a basketball court at their home in Orlando, Florida. Ace Surfaces provided their court from the ground up! We orchestrated the construction from laying the asphalt to the lights to the playing lines, and everything in between!

The final result is a beautiful residential outdoor, lighted court close to downtown Orlando, Florida.

Kiwanis Park - Tempe: "The eco-friendly upgrade"

The City of Tempe, AZ upgraded the tennis courts at their Kiwanis Park Recreation Center facility and chose Ace Surfaces to install 15 Rebound Ace courts. From April 21st to June 14th the existing court layers were removed, the substrate repaired and a new playing surface created. In cooperation with Nike Grinds Reuse-a-Shoe program, the company utilized special rubber mats, whereby about 2,500 worn out shoes were needed to cover one outdoor court.

Since these courts are made of donated Nike soles they're very eco-friendly. The playing area was finally coloured in royal blue and surrounded by grass green. To check out the new instalment Kiwanis Park held an open day from 8 to 10 a.m. everybody was able to experience what it feels like to play on worn out shoes.

Kukio Resort - Hawaii: "Paradise Found"

In late 2007, Ace Surfaces was contracted to construct 5 courts- 4 Rebound Ace GS 8mm tennis, and 1 Rebound Ace Pro (liquid rubber) Basketball court. Set in beautiful Hawaii, our courts provide the superior playing surface that the Kukio Resort required. They desired top of the line courts that could withstand the harsh sun and heat of the Hawaiian climate.

The result: five incredible courts in the heart of paradise.

Lifetime Fitness - Minnesota: "Land of 10,000 Tennis Courts!"

Over the course of the last two years, Ace Surfaces has been partnering with Lifetime Fitness, a major national fitness organization, in building and resurfacing their tennis centers. To date, we have installed and resurfaced over 50 tennis courts in Minnesota alone... and the future has never looked brighter or bigger!

Barker Park - Orlando: "Brightening up in the heart of downtown"

The city of Orlando called and we answered. What was a dilapidated basketball court (one and a half to be exact), was refurbished along with the entire Barker Park area, into a beautiful city owned and maintained recreation area.

Result: A place where families can enjoy time together!

City of New Orleans: "Good Morning, America, How Are You?"

After the devastation that Katrina left in her wake, many sections of New Orleans were in desperate need of reconstruction. This project was vital in the re-building of New Orleans from the perspective of the residents. In January 2008, NIKE and Ace Surfaces partnered together to assist in the beautification of three New Orleans' parks. Knowing that the people of New Orleans deserved only the best, we installed our finest system at two locations and a state of the art hard court system at the third.

Result: Three parks that now reflect the "Never Give Up" spirit of New Orleans!

Four Seasons Resort - Hawaii: "Aloha!!"

To show how well our system holds up in extreme conditions, you need only to look at the tennis courts on the big island of Hawaii. Constructed in 1996 for The Four Seasons Resort, these 8 courts have seen a great deal of play in the harsh climate of the islands. We are planning a trip back there in the near future to resurface the courts - well over 11 years after initial construction!

Saint Barthelemy - Caribbean:"A Little Caribbean Soul"

Saint Barthelemy, a beautiful island paradise, nestled in the middle of the emerald seas of the Caribbean is home to no less than 7 Rebound Ace GS tennis courts! These courts have been constructed over the course of 11 years since 1997.
